of use.

These terms are an agreement between you and Legal entity name (“RNB”, “we”, “us”), which operates reallynotbored.com. By creating an account or using RNB, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use RNB.

RNB is in active development. Features may change, be added or be removed as we build.

You must be at least 16 to use RNB.

Give accurate information and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.

One person, one account. Accounts can’t be sold or transferred.

Tell us straight away if you think someone else has accessed your account.

Your handle is how the community recognises you, and it appears on everything you contribute. Handles use letters, numbers and underscores. We may refuse or reclaim a handle that impersonates someone, infringes someone else’s rights, is offensive or misleading, or is held only to resell it.

Reserving a handle before launch helps you get the handle you want, but it is only confirmed once you create your account. Optional handle colours from the Official Shop are a licence to use that appearance on your account; they don’t give you ownership of the handle.

A check-in says “I was here”, so it must be genuine. Check in only when you are physically at the place. Don’t fake, spoof or simulate your location, and don’t use scripts or automation. We may remove check-ins, stamps, contributions or cards that we reasonably believe were not genuine, and suspend accounts that do this repeatedly.

You keep ownership of the photos, Discoveries, Stories and other content you add to RNB.

So that we can run RNB, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display and adapt your content (for example by cropping or resizing it, or formatting it as a card) in order to operate, show and improve RNB, and to promote RNB, including on our social media, with credit to you. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies already shared publicly by others, kept in backups for a limited time, or that we must keep by law.

When you post content, you confirm that:

• it is your own, or you have the right to share it;
• photos are real photos you took, not generated or copied images;
• you have permission from anyone who can be identified in it;
• it follows the community rules below.

Digital cards and your Case are features of RNB that celebrate what you contributed. They are not property, have no monetary value, and cannot be sold, traded or exchanged for money.

Printed cards are chosen by the RNB Editorial Studio for official editions. Keeping a digital card doesn’t mean it will be printed. If we would like to print your photo or content in a physical edition, we will ask your permission first and credit you as the Original Finder.

Don’t use RNB to post or do anything that:

is illegal, or encourages illegal or dangerous activity, including trespassing on private property;

is hateful, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit or violent;

shares someone else’s personal information, such as a private home address, without their consent;

infringes someone else’s copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights;

is spam, advertising or paid promotion that isn’t clearly disclosed;

impersonates someone or misrepresents who you are;

scrapes, copies or harvests data from RNB, or interferes with how it works or its security.

Be respectful of the places you visit and the people who live and work there.

We may review, hide or remove content, and limit, suspend or close accounts, that break these terms or put others at risk. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you what we did and why. You can report content, or ask us to reconsider a decision, by contacting privacy@reallynotbored.com.

When the Official Shop opens, these extra terms apply to purchases:

Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) including VAT where applicable before you pay. Delivery costs are shown at checkout.

Pre-orders: some products, such as The First Community Deck, are made only if enough pre-orders are received. If the minimum isn’t reached by date, we will cancel the pre-order and refund you in full. Payment is taken when you pre-order / when the minimum is reached.

Physical products: if you are a consumer in the UK or EU, you can cancel within 14 days of receiving your order and return it for a refund. This doesn’t apply to items that are personalised for you.

Digital items, such as handle colours, are delivered to your account straight away. By buying one you ask us to provide it immediately, and you acknowledge that you lose your right to cancel once it has been supplied.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including your rights if a product is faulty or not as described.

Places on RNB are added by the community. We don’t check whether a place is safe, open, accessible or legal to visit. Use your own judgement, follow local laws and signs, and take care of yourself and others when you go somewhere.

We work hard to keep RNB available and accurate, but we provide it “as is”. It may sometimes be unavailable, contain errors, or change. We may stop offering a feature, or RNB itself, with reasonable notice where possible.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law.

Otherwise, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, for business losses, or for losses caused by content posted by other users. Our total liability to you for any claim related to RNB is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and £100. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

You can stop using RNB and ask us to delete your account at any time by contacting privacy@reallynotbored.com. We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. What happens to your data is explained in our Privacy Policy.

We may update these terms as RNB develops. If we make significant changes, we will tell you in advance by email or on the site. If you keep using RNB after the changes take effect, the new terms will apply.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protections of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in your local courts. If something goes wrong, please contact us first: we’ll do our best to sort it out.
